What happens if I can’t attend a scheduled appointment?
A: Please contact Jan on 0481 099 870 if you need to reschedule an appointment. If you give less than 48 hours’ notice, a non-rebateable cancellation fee will be charged.
Please be reassured that when there is a genuinely unavoidable reason you will not be required to pay a cancellation fee.
Cancellation of an appointment without notice is a loss to three people:
- The client whose therapy progress is interrupted
- Another client who has been waiting for an appointment
- The psychologist who spent time preparing for the session
This policy allows Jan to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a waiting list for an appointment. Medicare does not cover cancelled appointments.
